BY THE NUMBERS, THE THREAT OF ISLAM
What is Islam? Is it a religion? Is it a political movement? Is it an economic system? Is it all three — or more . . . or less?
When it comes to the question of an economic system, every movement, if it is to survive, must have some sort of economic basis for its mobility. I think with Islam’s 1,400 year old history we can acknowledge some type of economic system exists. And it does, everything from banking and investments, to oil and gas, right down to business startups. It has quite an exhaustive plan when it comes to Islamic economic development (if interested in this area, see Section 400 of our website: https://discerning-islam.org/section-400-the-five-pillars-of-islam-other-rituals-and-sharia-islamic-law/) and scroll down.
“Islam is both a political movement and a religion,” according to Ken Abramowitz (he wears several hats, but for our purposes, he’s chairman of Citizens for National Security, or CFNS). He makes this point which may not seem very significant on the surface. But it is a critical detail that is nearly never mentioned.
The religious side of Islam should be and is protected by our Constitution’s freedom of religion. But the political side of Islam is actually a terrorist-supporting movement that tries to shield itself behind the religion of Islam.
Even after 9/11, George W. Bush made it a point to say that he had no problem with Islam, but only with the terrorists and those countries that shielded the terrorists. This was a PC statement that he made before deciding to attack Al Qaeda in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bush was looking to build up support in countries such as Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries in his battle against Al Qaeda.
But, as he and others found out the hard way, the problem really was and still is the political movement of Islam. That movement spans many countries and largely sees the West and Israel as twin enemies that must be fought against. The threat has not diminished since 9/11. It has only grown and now has more adherents inside of America and even inside the Halls of Congress.
At the Institute for the Study of Islam and its website Discerning-Islam.org, I have considered it our task to present the religious side of Islam — how it is filtered through Shari’a, Islamic Law — to give us its interpretation for living an every-day life, according to Islamic theology, and especially, its eschatology.
But what about the political aspect of Islam? Where is that addressed? Without having to comb through the Internet or take a chance with Google, there is a website that speaks directly to Political Islam, and it’s called the Center for the Study of Political Islam International (CSPII). For more information on CSPII, just click on the following link:

CSPII is a secular, not a religious organization. However, I think you will find their approach and content worth your time to see what they offer.
TERRORISM
Burkina Faso: Muslims murder 22, injure many others in jihad massacre in village … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: This is not the first time I’ve written on Burkina Faso. Like Nigeria, it is becoming a regular item. Unlike Nigeria, it has a small Christian community. While Muslims make up 60 percent of the population, there is still 20 percent given over to indigenous or local beliefs. Unhappily for this 20 percent, Muslims make no distinction between them and Christians. This means Muslims are as likely to kill them as not.
Burkina Faso: Death toll from Seytenga attack rises to 79 …Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: This article actually supersedes an earlier article that says 29 people were killed. Now, the number has jumped to 79. A significant difference.
The jihadists who murdered the people in Burkina Faso are thought to have been on a murderous rampage leading them from Burkina Faso on to Niger, Mali, and Chad, ultimately murdering well over 200 people.
Burkina Faso: Five civilians killed in attack, army says … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: We may soon be adding a separate page for Burkina Faso if this keeps up. I hate seeing what is being done in these countries, day-in and day-out. The terror these villagers must feel when they see a pickup truck with a standing machine gunner in the back, enter the premises to their homes.
Why do I share so much of this type of thing in TIPS? I guess it’s sort of an outlet for me … plus, if I don’t share it, how will people know what’s going on half-a-world away, many of them brothers and sisters in Christ? Who else will tell their story?
Will you share it with someone from your church or Sunday school class? A neighbor? Anyone?
Congo: Muslims attack hospital, murder at least 13 people, including infants and patients … Here’s The Story …
SOURCE: https://naijaonpoint.com.ng/congo-muslims-attack-hospital-murder-at-least-13-people-including-infants-and-patients/
ISI/DI: I believe this is the first report on the Congo. The DRC or Democratic Republic of Congo was in an issue or so ago. What’s the difference? Congo (also known as Republic of the Congo, Congo-Brazzaville, and the Congo Republic) is adjacent to the DRC, located on its western border. It’s a much smaller country. Both countries have a 90 and 98 percent Christian population, respectively. While there is no Islamic population showing in the Congo, the DRC shows approximately two percent. The Congo has a population of just over five million while the DRC registers about 110 million people.
Both countries are ripe for a blood-bath by radical Islam (read Boko Haram, the Nigerian terrorist organization with allegiance to ISIS) due to a poorly trained military and weak administrative government structures.
Cameroon: Muslims murder traditional leader, his son and grandson in jihad raid on village … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Although this is the first time Cameroon (officially, the Republic of Cameroon) has been reported on, it should be as no surprise. Looking at its location says it all. Located on Nigeria’s south-eastern border, Cameroon is about 70 percent Christian and 25 percent Islam. The population is approximately 26 million people. It has the advantage of being close to Nigeria’s Christian-south. It also has the disadvantage of being close to Nigeria’s Christian-south.
Suspected terrorist explosion in northern Togo kills 7 children … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Togo represents the third new country under recent jihadists attacks. Lots of smaller countries are in this circle. Togo is three countries to the west of Nigeria, and in the path of Boko Haram. With a population of just over 8.5 million, it has a 40 percent plus Christian and a 14 percent Islamic population, with the balance going to more traditional or polytheistic faiths.
But, why target children? As of this writing, there has yet to be any official report.
“Once these attacks start, they don’t stop,” Joseph Mensah-Boboe, the publisher of online media outlet Imagine Demain, told Anadolu Agency. “This is a new terrorist action despite the strong security method of the government, which has established a state of emergency and its corollaries. This situation is worrying.“
4 Christians arrested under annulled apostasy law in Sudan; Bibles confiscated … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Sudan … due south of Egypt; population nearly 46 million souls; just over 90 percent Islamic and five percent Christian; used to be a part of Egypt and her culture of pharaohs 4,500 years ago, until its independence in 1956. The government is listed as a Federal Provisional, with Muslims throughout.
Normally, Christians ar\ not harassed in Sudan if they keep a low profile (this from opendoorsusa.org). However, since apostasy is mentioned in the headlines, it’s probably safe to assume they were converts from Islam — which usually carries a death sentence in Islam.
Christian Man hacked by sickles then tied around neck with hose and dragged through streets to nearby home … Here’s The Story …
Pakistan: Muslims hack Christian with sickles, killing him, then drag his body through the streets by the neck
ISI/DI: The early ’90s I was asked to do a seminar for a group located in Peshawar … which is another story. What I did not see, though, were people who would carry out the actions of those in the headlines of this post. The Pakistan I saw was not like this back then.
Afghan Taliban Preacher At Taliban-Organized Conference: ‘Anyone Who Stands Against Our Islamic Government Should Be Beheaded And Eliminated’ … Here’s The Source …
Afghan Taliban Preacher At Taliban-Organized Conference: ‘Anyone Who Stands Against Our Islamic Government Should Be Beheaded And Eliminated’
ISI/DI: Peace within, piece without.
NIGERIA
Nigeria’s Tinubu picks Muslim senator as presidential running mate … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Tinubu is breaking with a thirty-year tradition that has kept a semblance of peace — the main party-runner selects someone from the minor party to share the platform with. This time, instead of selecting someone from the Christian-south part of the country, he has selected another Muslim from the Islamic-north part of the country.
Tinubu has been warmed of the threat to national stability as well as to peace and security. Nigeria now stands the chance of being labeled as an Islamic and sectarian nation.
IRAN
Iran escalates enrichment with adaptable machines at Fordow – IAEA reports … Here’s The Story
ISI/DI: Iran continues to push the buttons, moving ever closer to a nuclear weapon. However, it is said that once it makes the final connection, it will still take months before it can be mounted as a warhead onto a missile.
Iran to deliver armed drones to Russia for Ukraine war, White House says … Here’s The Story …
In this photo released on Saturday, May 22, 2021, by Sepahnews of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the Guard’s Commander Gen. Hossein Salami, left, and the Guard’s aerospace division commander Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh talk while unveiling a new drone called “Gaza” in an undisclosed location in Iran. (Sepahnews via AP)
ISI/DI: This does not bode well on several fronts. One, of course is, that Iran will be seen to openly support Russia in its war against Ukraine. It is also in opposition to several other Middle-Eastern countries and their support. Then there is the aspect of nuclear arms and whether Russia supports their efforts.
Erdogan, Putin set to meet in Tehran … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Erdogan is walking a tight-line, one from which if he were to fall could have sanctions placed against Turkey, booted from NATO, loss of nuclear arms … Turkey is reeling from sky-high inflation now of 80 percent. Yes, you read that right — EIGHTY PERCENT INFLATION.
This is no time to be playing footsie with the opposition. Erdogan needs to decide if he is going to be a part of NATO and a friend to the West or is he going to go over to the dark side.
NURPUR SHARMA
India: Islamic scholars unable to show how ‘blasphemer’ was wrong … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: The Islamic scholars cannot show the ”blasphemer” is wrong because she is not a blasphemer. What she said is true. The sooner they acknowledge this, the sooner I can stop writing about it. They actially want her head — for real.
Hadiths (part of Islam’s holy books) that Muslims consider authentic, record that Muhammad’s favorite wife, Aisha, was six when Muhammad wedded her. Done. Case closed.
India: Muslim offers house, property to anyone who beheads Nupur Sharma, despite accusations being false … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: I won’t say anything else. You already know it.
What was the need for Nupur Sharma to even say it? Just because she said something you didn’t like you’d call for her beheading and run riots? … Here’s The Story …
ABRAHAM ACCORDS
President Biden’s “Abraham Accords” Trip: Five Key Issues … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Watch, when President Biden returns from his Middle East trip, he will be the one who initiated the Abraham Accords and made it a success. It’s part of how the Democrats are rewriting history.
Sorry … I know I’m not supposed to be political.
Biden is building on the Abraham Accords, part of Trump’s legacy in the Middle East … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Just wait.
TO DIE FOR
Pakistan: Christian sentenced to death for blasphemy for saying ‘Jesus is supreme’ … Here’s The Story …
Pakistan: Christian sentenced to death for blasphemy for saying ‘Jesus is supreme’
ISI/DI: Had he not said “supreme,” he might okay. Islam considers Jesus to be a prophet, just not the “Supreme Prophet,” as in Prophet, Priest, and King.
US kills top Islamic State leader in Syria, Pentagon says …Here’s The Story …
A picture shows the site where a US drone targeted Maher al-Agal, a leader in the Islamic State militant group, near the village of Khaltan, near Jindires in northern Syria, on July 12, 2022. – A man US officials called the leader of the Islamic State militant group in Syria was killed Tuesday in a drone strike, the Pentagon said. Maher al-Agal was killed while riding a motorcycle near Jindires in northern Syria, and one of his top aides was “seriously injured,” Pentagon Central Command spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Dave Eastburn told AFP. (Photo by Rami al SAYED / AFP) (Photo by RAMI AL SAYED/AFP via Getty Images)
ISI/DI: While ISIS is far from being eradicated, they do seem to be losing their chief every few months. Will they run out of leaders? Probably not, but they will certainly lose out on leadership. The further down the food-chain they have to stretch, the less qualified their leaders will be, unless there is someone near the bottom who can become energized enough to rally the troops once more. ISIS is far from dead, though.
THE CALL
Indian Website Profiles Hai Weiliang, Chinese Muslim Who Founded Jihadi Movement In Xinjiang, Demanded ‘Re-establishment Of The Caliphate,’ … Here’s The Story …
ISI/DI: Is it possible that the call for a new caliphate could come from China? After-all, China is doing its best to run Islam and its followers into the ground.
Listen closely, Erdogan. The call is coming from the East and it doesn’t look like the Ottomans.
