Welcome to the TIPS 3.0 newsletter, dedicated to bringing you the news of what Islam teaches and what Muslims believe about the end times. We do not report on radical Islam‘s murders, rapes, honor killings or other atrocities unless there is a direct bearing on Islam’s eschatology (end times). Hopefully, you’ll hear about the end times from us before it happens.

What this means is that while the newsletters may be posted farther apart, the content will be more actionable and relevant to our purpose.

ISI/DI: There is no ‘win’ here. There will be criticism until the cows come home, just as there would be if they did nothing … or something else … or anything else. I don’t mean to bad-mouth their option, it’s just that there is no win — certainly no ‘win-win,’ no ‘win-loss,’ or ‘loss-win,’ etc. well, maybe a ‘loss-loss,’ … if they’re lucky. Just do the best you can and move on.

ISI/DI: The year we lived in Azerbaijan followed by another three and a half years in the Republic of Georgia turned out to be some of the most memorable times we had …. Turkey was close by and most trips we took out of either country usually went in or out of Istanbul. Azerbaijan, or course, is Muslim. Supposedly, 90 percent of the population were Iranian or had Iranian “ties;” Georgia, on the other hand, is Orthodox. Christian — not Eastern Orthodox, but Georgian Orthodox. Their belief, according to some, is there are no other ‘true’ Christians — only Georgians are … or can be … ‘true’ Christians. To know this, you either have to live there for a specified amount of time (we did not), or have to know someone who will tell you this (we did).
