ISI/DI: Criticism of Islam can take many forms, including academic critiques, political criticism, religious criticism, and personal opinions. Subjects of criticism include Islamic beliefs, practices, and doctrines.
Criticism of Islam has been present since its formative stages, and early expressions of disapproval were made by Christians, Jews, and some former Muslims like Ibn al-Rawandi. Subsequently, the Muslim world itself faced criticism after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
This criticism has been aimed at the life of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, in both his public and personal lives. Issues relating to the authenticity and morality of the scriptures of Islam, both the Qur’an and the hadiths, are also discussed by critics.
Other criticisms have also been directed at historical practices, like the recognition of slavery as an institution as well as Islamic imperialism impacting native cultures. More recently, Islamic beliefs regarding human origins, predestination, Allah’s existence, and Allah’s nature have received criticism for perceived philosophical and scientific inconsistencies.
Criticisms center on the treatment of individuals within modern Muslim-majority countries, including issues which are related to human rights in the Islamic world, particularly in relation to the application of Islamic law. As of 2014, 26 percent of the world’s countries had anti blasphemy laws, and 13 percent of them also had anti-apostasy laws. By 2017, thirteen Muslim countries imposed the death penalty for apostasy and approximately ten countries have the death penalty as a potential punishment for apostasy, although actual executions for these charges are rare in some places. Amid the contemporary embrace of multiculturalism, there has been criticism regarding how Islam may affect the willingness or ability of Muslim immigrants to assimilate in host nations.
Muslim scholars have historically responded to criticisms through apologetics and theological defenses of Islamic doctrines.
A number of American politicians and business leaders have spoken out about radical Islam, with statements of condemnation of the religion and the evils it espouses, its many atrocities, and how Shari’a Law is incompatible with the American Constitution.
You may recognize some of these names of prominent figures. If you know of others, I hope you will send me their names and how they have been involved, so I can add them to this post.
I encourage you to support their efforts when it comes to the fight against the evils of Islam. Remember though, the enemy is not Muslims; the enemy is Islam.
- Donald Trump: The current Republican President has a long history of anti-Islam rhetoric, including his campaign call for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States,” and stating “I think Islam hates us.” In 2024 and 2025, he has reiterated his intention to reinstate a travel ban on several Muslim-majority countries from his first term. He has also backed political candidates known for their anti-Islamic views;
- Charlie Kirk (dec): A prominent conservative activist and commentator, Kirk repeatedly claimed that Islam is not compatible with Western civilization and is a danger to the United States. In 2025, he faced accusations of Islamophobia after linking an Islamic political candidate in New York City to the 9/11 attacks;
- Jerrod Sessler: A Republican congressional candidate in Washington, Sessler stated in an October 2024 interview that he does not believe “devout” Muslim Americans should serve in Congress, arguing that their belief system is “anti-American”;
- Valentina Gomez: In May 2025, a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress in Texas, stated in a campaign video, “Your daughters will be raped and your sons beheaded, unless we stop Islam once and for all”;
- Andy Ogles and Nancy Mace: These two Republican Representatives from Tennessee and South Carolina respectively, were among several GOP members of Congress who made statements in late 2024 and 2025, directed at Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani during his NYC mayoral campaign;
- Tommy Tuberville: In October 2025, the Senator from Alabama stated on the Senate floor that anyone “practicing” Shari’a law in the U.S. should be “deported immediately” and that “radical Islamic extremists” want all Americans dead;
- Dawn Buckingham and Glenn Hegar: The Texas Land Commissioner and Texas Comptroller, respectively, both Republicans, made official comments in October 2025, relating to a land deal that involved claims of implementing Shari’a law;
- John Gillette: In September 2025, the Arizona state representative called Muslims “savages” and “terrorists” in social media posts and interviews;
- Marjorie Taylor Greene: The Georgia Representative has referred to Muslim members of Congress as the “Jihad Squad”;
- Lauren Boebert: The former Colorado Representative made an anti-Muslim statement about Representative Ilhan Omar, calling her a member of the “jihad squad”;
- Ted Cruz: The Texas Senator has made comments tying complex security crises in other countries to “Islamist” groups and criticized New York Governor Kathy Hochul for wearing a headscarf at a slain officer’s funeral.
- Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, and Sebastian Gorka: These former Trump administration officials have all made statements characterizing Islam as a dangerous political ideology or a “vicious cancer’;
- Greg Abbott: The Texas Governor signed into law a bill banning discriminatory developments like EPIC City (located just outside of Dallas) into law;
- Chip Roy: The Congressional Representative from Texas introduced Bill H.R.5512 – No Shari’a Act, to Preserve America from Shari’a Law, and protect our country and our culture.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Write to your Congressmen in Washington. Don’t know who they are or how to get their information? Simple!!! Go to Google and ask, “Who are the Congressmen who represent (your STATE’s name) in Washington, DC?” This should give you directions on how to reach them by phone, email, snail mail, etc. Email, if it’s listed, and it usually is, will be the fastest and probably takes the least amount of your time. In research I’ve done, ALL of our congressional representatives are reachable via email, and it’s usually an online form to fill out. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s important. This is perhaps our generation’s greatest threat to our national security. Please don’t let time pass you by. Your country needs you, NOW.
(cont’d) When it comes to making statements about moderate or radical Islam, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated, “There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam, and that’s it.” This statement is used to reject Western concepts of a “moderate Islam” versus a “radical” or “political” Islam. At the same time, this endorsement of “Islam is Islam” leaves no wiggle room when considering Erdoğan’s actions of allowing “soldiers” of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Islamic terrorist organizations, not just entrance into Turkey, but granting them resident status to include citizenship with passports, land ownership, cash, vehicles, and other benefits. In addition are his own desires to see a rebirth of the Ottoman Empire, most likely with himself as caliph.
Understanding President Erdoğan can be an exercise in futility. President Trump sings his praises, especially with the help Turkey provided to bring an end to the Hamas-Israeli war and gaining the release of the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Turkey continues to be a member of NATO and is in a very strategic location as a hub between Europe and the Middle East. Then, there is the side of President Erdoğan I talked about above. However, his personal desires do not seem to interfere with his political goals. Turkey still remains a secular country, which was established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1922.
Former Democrat files bill banning Shari’a law in Florida government

ISI/DI: Two Republican lawmakers have introduced legislation seeking to ban the enforcement of Shari’a law in the United States, arguing that the measure is necessary to preserve constitutional principles and American culture.
The bill reignites long-standing debates over the role of foreign or religious legal systems in U.S. courts, particularly regarding Islamic law. Supporters say it would protect the Constitution from being undermined, while critics warn it could fuel Islamophobia and face constitutional challenges of its own.
The proposal, called the “No Shari’a Act,” was announced by Florida Representative Randy Fine and Texas Representative Keith Self.
A Florida lawmaker, Rep. Hillary Cassel, a Broward County Republican, who suddenly switched parties (Democrat to Republican) last year filed a state version of the federal bill Wednesday that would ban Florida courts and agencies from using Shari’a Law, much like the bill signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott of Texas.
Shari’a is Islam’s legal system derived from the Qur’an and other holy books. Its interpretations vary depending on the five universities of Islamic jurisprudence. The five schools of Islamic law include four Sunni universities and one Shi’a university. The four major Sunni schools are Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali, while the Ja’fari school represents the Shi’a perspective. While these five universities of Islamic jurisprudence teach Islamic Law (Shari’a), it is usually the local imam who interprets the law based on local customs, culture and ethical conduct, and then he may suggest criminal punishments.

Tearful Hizbullah MP Hussein Hajj Hassan: Nasrallah, Wait For Us, Because We Are Coming To You; If Allah Is Pleased With Me, He Will Take Me From This World The Same Way Nasrallah Was Martyred

ISI/DI: “If Allah Is Pleased With Me, He Will Take Me From This World The Same Way Nasrallah Was Martyred.”
I know it may be difficult for some to wrap their arms around this statement. It is a totally different way of thinking. However, it is this concept that a Muslim is raised with, from the bottle to the grave. For a Muslim to die for Allah is considered the best way of life. To die in combat for Allah is the ultimate way of life.
Some Muslims believe dying for Allah is a virtuous act that guarantees paradise, a concept known as martyrdom, particularly when motivated by a deep belief in Allah and his cause. This belief is often linked to the concept of jihad in a wartime context, where death is seen as a way to defend faith and ensure entry into paradise.
Martyrdom in Islam
- Martyrdom (shahada): A martyr, or shahid, is someone whose death is a testament to their faith. The belief is that Allah will reward a martyr with a special place in paradise;
- Motivation: The desire to die for Allah is seen as a noble act, especially when driven by a sincere belief in his word and a willingness to defend His cause;
- Jihad: In some interpretations, this concept is tied to the idea of jihad, or struggle, particularly in a military context where one is defending the faith or believers from external aggression.
The Broader Islamic View on Death
- Life as a Test: Islam views this life as a test from God, and death is seen as the transition to the afterlife where individuals will be judged for their deeds. Islam views this life as a test from Allah, and death is seen as the transition to the afterlife where individuals will be judged for their deeds;
- Focus on righteous living: Most mainstream Islamic teachings emphasize that the goal is to live a good and righteous life to earn Allah’s reward, and death is a natural part of Allah’s plan.
- Professional faith: It is believed that a person’s final words before death are significant. If their last words are the profession of faith, “La ilaha illallah” (There is no true god except Allah), it is said they will enter paradise.
To die for Allah is jihad.
