I had almost given up on Texas ……… EPIC City just outside of Dallas, large compounds near Austin, Houston, and San Antone. I began to wonder if Governor Abbott was asleep at the wheel.

Texas is alive and well!!! No, Abbott was not and is not asleep at the wheel. He has been quietly orchestrating from behind the scenes, and the story below testifies to that.

We moved to Georgia in 1956, where I started the fourth grade and that’s where I spent my teenage years. One would think that is where I grew up.

When I was five my mother divorced and the two of us moved from Panama City …… Panama, not Florida …… to Austin, Texas. In my three years of Texas education I remember more about the history of Texas than I do about the history of Georgia, even with the next nine years I would spend there.

It’s true; “Once a Texan, always a Texan,” is more than just a saying.
